Three minutes from purchase to a season tracked properly — installing, adding your kids, and keeping a backup.

Put it on your phone

Sideline MVP is a web app: there is nothing to download from an app store and no account to create. You open a link, and your phone turns it into an app icon.

iPhone & iPad (Safari)

  1. Open your purchase link in SafariChrome on iPhone cannot add apps to the home screen — use Safari.
  2. Tap the Share buttonThe square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Choose “Add to Home Screen”Scroll the list if you don't see it right away.
  4. Tap “Add”Sideline MVP now sits on your home screen and opens full screen, without the address bar.

Android (Chrome)

  1. Open your purchase link in Chrome
  2. Tap the ⋮ menu in the top right
  3. Choose “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”Confirm, and the icon appears with your other apps.

Computer

Double-click the sideline-mvp.html file you downloaded, or open your link in any browser. Everything works the same way.

Works offline. After the first open, Sideline MVP runs from your device — handy in a gym basement or a field with one bar of signal.

Your first five minutes

  1. Add a childName, a photo if you like, then add each practice: sport, days of the week, time and place.
  2. Check the home screenKids are sorted by whose practice comes next, so the drive you have to make today is always on top.
  3. Open the Schedule tabPick any weekday and see every child's practice for that day, sorted by time.
  4. Tap “Log” after a practiceMinutes, a five-star rating and a note. Ten seconds in the car on the way home.
  5. Tap “Log” after a gameScore and result for team sports, finishing place for meets, plus the stats you counted from the sideline.

Adding more kids

There is no limit. Use the black “+” button on the home screen. Each child gets their own practices, their own stats and their own season — switching between them is one tap.

Backup: moving to a new phone

Sideline MVP stores everything on your device, which means nothing is uploaded anywhere — and also that you should keep a copy.

  1. Settings → Backup → “Save a copy”You get one file with every child, practice, game, stat and photo.
  2. Send that file to yourselfEmail, messenger, cloud drive — anywhere you can open it again later.
  3. On the new phone: Settings → “Restore from a copy”Pick the file, confirm, and the whole season is back.
Good habit: save a copy at the end of every season, and before you clear your browser data.

Languages

English, German, French, Japanese and Russian. Settings → Language. Sport names, stats and dates all switch with it.
